2015 Board Appointed Positions

Jr. Bulldog Families,

All appointed board positions are for one year and are reappointed at the beginning of each year. All positions, regardless if they are currently filled or not, are up for consideration. If you have an interest in volunteering for any of the below positions please send an email to board@grantjrbulldogs.com. Include any previous experience you have with the Grant Jr. Bulldogs and any other information you feel would be pertinent for the position you are seeking to volunteer for. If you served in one of the positions in 2014 and wish to continue in that role please send an email to board@grantjrbulldogs.com stating your desire before December 31st. The executive board will start assigning positions in January, 2015 if a qualified candidate has requested a position.
 
Director of Tackle Football:
  • Organize coaches training on rules, policies and other football related topics.
  • Lead the efforts in setting standards for excellence for GJBF tackle football program.
  • Perform the duties outlined in these Bylaws assigned to the Director of Tackle Football.
  • In cooperation with the director of fields, develop and coordinate a practice schedule and assignment of field locations. The Director of Tackle Football will communicate to each tackle team their respective assignments for their teams.
  • Responsible for Recruiting and Retention of Coaching Staff.
  • Plan, organize and lead any scheduled Football coaches meetings.
  • Will create and maintain organizational playbook based on Grant Community High School Football Program.
  • Responsible for coordination of TCYFL Field Marshal including necessary books, documents, and forms.
  • Report to the Vice President of Football in advance of budget preparation of any expenses anticipated.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by The Board of Directors.
  • Serves as a member of the Coaches Selection Committee.
 
Director of Flag Football:
  • Organize coaches training on rules, policies and other football related topics.
  • Lead the efforts in setting standards for excellence for GJBF flag football program.
  • Perform the duties outlined in these Bylaws assigned to the Director of Flag Football.
  • In cooperation with the director of fields, develop and coordinate a practice schedule and assignment of field locations. The Director of Football will communicate to each flag team their respective assignments for their teams.
  • Responsible for Recruiting and Retention of Coaching Staff.
  • Plan, organize and lead any scheduled Football coaches meetings.
  • Will create and maintain organizational playbook based on Grant Community High School Football Program.
  • Responsible for coordination with the other flag member communities to establish rules and schedules.
  • Report to the Vice President of Football in advance of budget preparation of any expenses anticipated.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by The Board of Directors.
  • Serves as a member of the Coaches Selection Committee.

Assistant Director of Football Tackle:
  • Assist the Director of Tackle Football with items relating to the tackle and 7 on 7 programs.
Assistant Director of Football Flag:
  • Assist the Director of Flag Football with items relating to the flag program. 
Director of Equipment:
  • Secure and present all bids for the operating supplies and equipment needed for the program to The Board of Directors for approval.
  • Procure any Board approved purchases of team / participant supplies or equipment.
  • Inventory and maintain all GJBF team and participant equipment.
  • Report any anticipated expenses to the Vice President of Football in advance of budget preparation.
  • Issue and receive football equipment for coaches and participants in the program.
  • Secure the team and participant GJBF storage facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by The Board of Directors.
Director of Special Events:
  • Organize all GJBF special events including but not limited to Homecoming, parades,  pictures, and the End of the Year Awards Banquet.
  • Report any anticipated expenses to the Vice President of Football in advance of budget preparation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by The Board of Directors.
Director of Fields:
  • Secure and present all bids for the operating supplies needed for Field Maintenance and upkeep to The Board of Directors for approval.
  • Procure any Board approved purchases for field supplies or equipment.
  • Inventory and maintain of all GJBF field maintenance equipment.
  • Report any anticipated expenses to the Vice President of Operations in advance of budget preparation.
  • Secure GJBF storage facilities.
  • Oversee the organization, set-up, improvement and maintenance of the practice and competition fields and grounds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by The Board of Directors.
Director of Concessions:
  • Secure and present all bids for the concession supplies needed to The Board of Directors for approval.
  • Procure any Board approved purchases of concession supplies.
  • Develop and maintain a volunteer schedule for concession activity.
  • Inventory and maintain all GJBF concession inventory and supplies. Report initial and final inventories, values and losses to the Executive Treasurer as required.
  • Report any anticipated expenses to the Vice President of Operations in advance of budget preparation.
  • Report concessions activity to the Board of Directors.
  • Secure the GJBF concession facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by The Board of Directors.
Assistant Director of Concessions
  • Assist the Director of Concessions
Director of Wearables:
  • Secure and present all bids for the wearable items to The Board of Directors for approval.
  • Procure any Board approved purchases of wearables or merchandise.
  • Develop and maintain a volunteer schedule for merchandising activity.
  • Inventory and maintain all GJBF merchandise for resale.
  • Report initial and final inventories, values and losses to the Executive Treasurer.
  • Report any anticipated expenses to the Vice President of Operations in advance of budget preparation.
  • Report merchandising activity to the Board of Directors.
  • Secure the GJBF merchandising inventory.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by The Board of Directors.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Football for any special purchases for the coaching staffs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by The Board of Directors.
Director of Recruiting
  • Coordinate with the Director of Registration to design, procure and distribute signage and advertising for registration.
  • Organize and set-up of any marketing & recruiting activities assigned by The Board of Directors.
  • Other duties as assigned by The Board of Directors.
Director of Registration
  • Setup the online registration through our website. Prepare and distribute any Board approved reports for registration in GJBF programs.
  • Transfer all participant data from registration to the Executive Secretary for permanent records.
  • Report any anticipated expenses to the Secretary in advance of budget preparation.
  • Perform the duties outlined in these Bylaws assigned to the Director of Registration.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by The Board of Directors.
Volunteer Director
  • Reports to and coordinates with the Executive Secretary on tracking and reporting of all volunteer activities.
  • Will assist the board in finding volunteers to fill various positions throughout the year.  Will coordinate with Head Coaches or designee to fill all volunteer opportunities.
TCYFL League Representative:
  • Attend monthly TCYFL meetings along with any special meetings pertaining to league matters. Take notes; provide a report to Board each month. Present protests & recommendations on behalf of the Board of Directors. Present any special requests of the Board of Directors to the TCYFL board.
Safety Coordinator:
  • Will arrange all required safety training of staff to include CPR, First Aid, AED, and other necessary safety training.
  • Shall maintain and provide to the Executive Board all required records on any injury and reports as required.
  • Responsible to maintain all first aid kits and supplies for the organization.
  • Work with the TCYFL safety committee to establish standards for safety.
  • Ensure coaches are properly trained on all items safety related.
  • Continue to develop our Heads Up Tackling Program.
  • Reports directly to the President on any Safety related issues.
  • Report any anticipated expenses to the Executive Treasurer in advance of budget preparation.  
 
Communications Coordinator
  • Assists the Executive Secretary with communications both internal and external. Activities may include press releases, Grant Jr. Bulldogs Newsletters and communications via our mailing list.
Assistant Treasurer
  • Responsible for all Fundraising & Sponsorship activities of GJBF.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Executive Treasurer.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by The Board of Directors.
